Nepali women rapped by Indian Security Forces
A 20-year-old Nepali woman was raped by an Indian security personnel in an Indian village near the Nepal border, the Rising Nepal daily said Thursday.
The woman, a resident of Gulariya town in Bardiya district in western Nepal, was raped by a personnel of the Border Security Force in the Indian village of Salarpur, where she had gone to visit her relatives, the newspaper said.
This is at least the second case of rape of a Nepali woman in recent times. A few months ago, another woman from Gulariya was also raped by a security personnel, the daily said.
There has been growing incidence of abuse of Nepali women by Indian paramilitary forces in the town, the report said.
