Maggie...when I think about that...
I really have to say that I'm just not sure. You go thru life thinking you know certain things to be true. Somehow, I lost that. I don't count on anything or anyone -

I found peace in the vastness of things. I am often sad as well.
Life does not always seem fair and we ask ourselves "what is the point?" With global warming (like you mentioned)/capitalism /war/poverty/disease/and the stress in our own lives to boot. It can seem like a hopeless cause. I often find peace in the belief that everything has meaning in the bigger picture. Just because I do not understand why things are the way they are does not mean that there isn't a purpose I do not see. All living things fight to survive.....it is in our nature but, so is death. Once I accepted the inevitability of death(in all forms) I felt more peaceful. Also you could try listening to music by Tori Amos ("Little earthquakes" and "Boys for Pele")and  Loreena McKinnett("The Mask and the Mirror" and "The Visit").These are excellent albums for going within and healing the spirit. Take Care....bluebird

Passion, you have to believe in yourself and love yourself.  That's the beginning and everything will fall in line.   You're a loving person and have a lot to give - you just have to believe it.  You can do it!   I know I love you.

Well the good news is that one never really looses their faith. Even if you think you have doubted it's existence, God don't forget his children!

Wow, a lot of food for thought
A friend admitted to me the other day that she's shaken her fist Heaven-ward a few times and yelled, "I hate You!" I know I myself have looked upwards and have said either, "Why?" or, "Ok, UNCLE! Enough already!" In our discussion we decided that He's ok with that, and understands that we're only human. When there's no one else to turn to, we always come back to Him ultimately (eating a little crow in the process). You are not alone, my friend. Hang in there.
