I've been busy today and haven't had time to look around, but rest assured I will visit you all very soon! Marie-Claire, you are a star!

Thank you for your comment
A friend created a picture for a card-for when my son "Michael" left home and I did the poem. Her picture was of a rainbow-going from my home-to his. Good luck with your children!

The poem flows in wisdoms imagery easy in understanding, willpower if only someone would bottle it, I would drink deeply. Creative verse, I enjoyed so much, well wrote Tony. Mike

Tony, the river always knows indeed. And the lake. Good writing.

Yes, this line is beautiful... the river knows..and the river brought me
here. First I read David's sonet, then I went to your page and read your beautiful sonets, and then I went through the comments and foud marieclear work and here I am... amazed by her words, so wise and important for me in this moment in my life. Thank you all for this message.

Yes... the river knows
Well said (Marieclaire as well).  The river, the wind, the whisper, the beating heart, the glistening moon, the blazing sun, or the wind - they all know.  The answer is not in the quick fix books.

Lovely last line...
the rivers knows,
follow its graceful curves
as it meanders through life
discover through twists and turns
the happy trysts of fate
and make every day a fête...
I often leave comment-poems,
they are peppered everywhere
hope you will enjoy the happy-go-lucky
game of words for you to wrestle with
in a silly  child-like play-fight...
Enjoy life but do not measure
its success by the pleasure
you derive from it
pain is the best teacher
pleasure the biggest distractor
the best learning times in life
are the  painful ones
the happy times are there
so you can assess and enjoy
what you learnt from the sad times
pain and pleasures
teach others lessons
they are the masters
and the students
their roles interchanging
and so life goes on....
