Shutting down seems like a logical response sometimes
and what's wrong with taking a break?  You're working through some confusion - life is like that - and one day you'll make a little progress, then the next day there'll be a little more.  :)pat

because of the lessons learned, I live in fear. Part of the healing process is allowing oneself to trust again in the "goodness" of others.

There is usually a lesson to be learned hidden within the fear

remember when you said to me, "I'm left speechless"? I am left speechless...silent understanding...meeting you in that place...and I hope you too have grown with someone that understands.

cosy--
it can be difficult for me sometimes, to read your posts, because it is like looking straight into a mirror. It's not the first time, nor I wager will it be the last, that I read and "just know"; for I feel that so many of these words could have come from my mouth. I am glad you have someone who understands.
