Exactly, Xeno-x. I've been alluding to this very same point for some time
now, this terrible parallel to some Orwellian nightmare being propagated by the Bush administration. Add to this the fear of the "enemy within", the same-sex marriage issue, a virtual non-issue used to rouse the conservatives into ridiculously thinking that the bastion of marriage is somehow under attack by a very small portion of our society. Fear is a very powerful motivator.

We surely can leave this war alone, but the false pride of one man, Bush,, has kept our young men and women there getting killed and lossing limbs day in and day out, to "stay the course."
