Sorry Dave - I'm just about to do one...
... but I don't know what about, yet. I may do one about not knowing what to do one about. And why not, as Bazza Norman would say.

Tony, I came for today's, but it's not here yet. Almost did one myself
today. Am getting closer. Maybe tomorrow, for me. A sonnet on it. Dunno what yet, but it's coming.

Hi MC
Yes, I agree you can't be everybody's friend - I certainly can't. I just mean you try to feel as though everyone all over the world is equal and not to only think about ourselves or people in our own country.

oooh you like to make people think!
It is only for the sake of our little brains to we divide time into neat little compartments, life is one big long continuum, depending on where you happen to place yourself on it, it becomes past or future, but nothing is static. It is like catching a bird in motion in order to watch if fly, impossible! As for being everybody's friends, such a tall order and do I really want to???

Everyone - Thanks for your comments.

NC - I don't necessarily think you have to live for the moment. I don't think the moment really exists. What matters is that we try our hardest to be happy without hurting others, over the full length of our lives, which although seemingly a short period when compared to eternity, is at the same time an infinitely long period of time when you consider how many tiny moments there are in our lives. Our consciences are really the best guide, as that annoying character in - was it Dumbo? - said.

Tony. Excellent. I love these. I will write one soon. And when I do, you'll
be my inspiration. I've written sonnets before and the form forces you to examine your topic carefully. Great stuff. May you rise and rise.

Many of your poems contain wise words, this is one....
... I am fascinated by time. Probably there is no such thing and it is man's invention. Nevertheless this living for the moment; I try but it's hard. First of all I keep forgetting to try to do it. Secondly what about the dreadful moments, I find the only way to deal with them is to concentrate on thinking of the moment when this moment is over. Does this make sense?
