I'm saying that they ruin the image of what they should be

Everyone knows "the toilet paper roll is empty" head shake, because that just isn't right.  Like a detective that doesn't eat food that makes his gums bleed!

I think you're right, Artifact, anyone who gums their food cannot be taken

seriously as a gumshoe, or seedy character. It just ruins the image.

I am of the opinion that you can not take a private investigator seriously if he eats his Kibble soft.  Somehow, that image just doesn't work.

Artifact, Oscar and his sidekick look like a couple of rough gumshoes!

I like the line, "He likes his world, like he likes his food: gritty"  (Would that be crunchy Kibbles versus soggy Kibbles?)
