The hardest thing to describe is the inexplicable.

Well said. Gratitude is an unlikely response, but a necessary one. We must all remember that. Thank you..

i have had silent glimpses where you see how full life is. like a realization that floats around. once i was looking at a bar stool, then i tried to explain the unexplainable to a friend as i am doing now.

Avant-Garde, I don't think children need saints, they just need someone
who tries to do the best they can. Being there is better than being perfect.

You are so right. See someone who is watching children, and maintains their poise and kind regard, and I'll show you a saint.

PostSmile!  We all need the silence to know ourselves and sort through our thoughts and it seems we are always learning something new. It's hard to even think when others constantly talk at you instead of relating to you. Take Care!

Avant-Garde, my mind constantly clings to old patterns of identity,

Even though, having lost all of the things that I formerly thought necessary to maintain my identity: up to and including my mind itself, which is my ultimate identity, I find that retaining that liberation and remembering the freedom that it brings is the hardest part.

It must be easy to be a monk in a monastery, with no temptations to react to.  I find that my day is not running as smoothly as I would like, either. I have other things to attend to.

It is completely ironic and nonsensical, but it is true! Thank you.
