That is amazing. Not that it surprises me, nothing does anymore. I always like Ollie and have always believed every Senator should do military time in order to understand what the heck is going on in this world. Most are clueless. Excellent information and post and I thank you for it!

Oh, Wait...
That's right! George H. Bush was only the Vice President at the time. Ronald Reagan was king...er...Commander in Chief at the time. I'm sorry. George H. Bush had another year as Vice President, and then a full presidential term to form a team and hunt down OBL like the good colonel recommended. Well, in Clinton's defense I guess we could say that if the previous republican administrations perceived no threats from Al Qaeda then why should the Clinton Administration?

And When You've Answered That Question...
Ask yourself why George H. Bush didn't form the recommended team in the three years he had remaining on his administration. Al Gore wasn't the president at the time Colonel North provided the testimony. George H. Bush was. Why implicate Al Gore while giving George H. Bush (the man in charge) a pass on the issue of any threat from OBL in the late 80s?
Things that make you go

The Question Then Begs To Be Answered...
Why did the Republican Administration at the time neglect to inform Congress of the threat from OBL but thought that a Marine Colonel should be aware of the threat?
As for Atta, who can safely predict the future behavior of any soul? I mean, other than God who, by the way, couldn't even predict that Eve would obey the serpent in Genesis.

No, I don't remember that, actually.
Of course, I was only two years old at the time, so ...
If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy,
throw one of those small pumpkins.
Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is,
and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.
