Blogit COULD be so much more than it is. Noone is going to want to join if it continues to present itself as the flippin' Jerry Springer show. We can help eachother to be better writers, to be productive critics rather than assh*les. You see what I'm doing....YAY! It must be working then...

Anna, this is, sadly, very true.
It doesn't have to be, though. This place could be an amazing,
supportive group of people with commonalities and differences, who slap
each other on the back and say, "you can do it!" instead of turning
around and looking at the next blogger over, whispering "can you
believe they just said that?"
We really are capable of that. I believe it. You deserve to
award yourself, because you are one of the people who are helping to
move this community towards that
