Lost music (as opposed to lost in music)

Ah yes, I remember how distraught I was when all my old vinyl singles were thrown out by my Dad after I went to university in the early eighties. Then I spent several years hunting second-hand copies of those same records, which were never in as good a condition as my originals had been kept. And then another time, the cat answered the call of nature on my vinyl LP collection. It also used to sharpen its claws on them. Now, these problems are largely resolved by the ubiquitousness of cheap oldies compilations everywhere I go, and also by being able to download most oldies if I suddenly remember a song and think, I'd like to hear that again!

Straightforward

Wish I could, but my music collection is now almost nonexistant.  Back in my more affluent days I had several hundred albums (vinyl) and about 600 more on tape.  But they're all long gone, sold or given away.  That's why I listen to oldies on radio.  It's the only way I can listen to a fraction of what I used to have.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by and letting me know you were here.

I wish u could upload this song? Sounds interesting. I like the "oldies" as
well. But I am not familiar with this one.

Yup.  That's why I feel naked without a notebook and pen handy.  Got to jot down what I see and hear when it makes an impression on me if I don't want to forget it.

I think that's what makes writers what they are
They stop, look, and listen and then right down what the saw, heard, thought and felt.
