Captivation, I definitely find that liking myself and feeling good about
myself leads to a better sex drive. When I'm feeling down, my libido goes right out the window. So, it's kind of a barometer of where I am, and when I find it coming back, it feeds on itself, and becomes more life-affirming, which is a good thing.
Sex is such an integral part of an emotionally balanced life, that I am never happy without it, and I'm very happy with my current boyfriend. We're friends, lovers, partners, and Scrabble competitors. Now if we could just figure out how to make strip Scrabble work, it'd be perfect.
As for the other points on your list, I'd say that I agree with most, like nurturing myself. I just got a mani-pedi, haircut and foil, and it makes me feel much sexier, ergo that makes him happier, so it's a self-fulfilling positive cycle.
Thrills? I've had enough thrills for one lifetime, I like a quiet life, lol, but you're much younger than I am, so go for it! Have fun.

Beer Goggles
They are always hit. My beer goggles are ridiculous. The whole room is incredibly hot when I have a few beers in me. That is a bad thing because you usually find yourself either calling the guy Patrick instead of Kevin or forgetting your socks somewhere you shouldn't have left them...

I've Found That...
beer goggles go an awful long way in helping with sex...sadly, whenever I rely on beer goggles, the next morning's emphasis usually lies with the awful rather than with the sex.
