Wait a Minnit!
The snotty so-and-so reported a case of "suspected" food poisoning? A case? Not two or three people out of her group of ten, or five to ten out of a group of fifty, but one case?!
That's not food poisoning. That's someone with a food sensitivity. Because you have a whole spread of stuff, and I guarantee you that at least two or three people are going to sample everything. So if only one person got ill, you can bet that it's a food sensitivity.
I get salmonella-like symptoms whenever I eat any kind of blue cheese or soft rind cheese. No stilton, gorgonzola, camembert, or brie for me. If you served something with a blue cheese in it, I'll bet you had one of the rare people who's sensitive to mold in cheeses, and that was your "food poisoning."
