Your poem touched me it seems a lot of people are forgetting what happened and are starting to get on edge and want are soldiers home but they have not finished their job yet when it is done they will come home safe I pray for them everyday

let us start small and...
let us start small
and make peace
with our soul
and the ones departed
let us pray
for those cheated
of their hopes
and loved ones
let us hope
that one day
all quarels
will be forgotten
let us make peace
with our neighbors
let us start small
and build bridges
between brothers
and sisters in arms
weapons of peace
are love
blessed are those
who forgive
transgressions
big and small
a nation
is built on its people
petty and grand
are their quarrels
how they are handled
makes all the difference
let us take a firm stance
for peace among nations
let us build a better world
before the worlds sinks
to the depths of destruction
let us rebuild on new foundations
ground zero
in our heart
let it not be bitter and hard
for life will bite even harder
let us build a heaven
on this earth
in a quiet corner
of our heart
a new hope is born
a tiny seed on ashen floor
it grows on barren ground
if you let happen so
a new world order
is called for
the Bible is our word
that we follow by the letter
Lord bless this world
and soothe the turmoil
of those embroiled
in unseemly conflict
Lord keep our world
safe from fear and hatred
be the guardian of our soul
keep us whole in the fragmented world.
