I think Jeff Goldblum, (or is it Goldbloom), would make an excellent Roland. It may sound odd, but Wanda Sykes could pull off a good Susannah. But for the most serious of them all, let Christopher Walken play the man in black/Morten/Flagg.

Did you ever see The Stand. They guy that plays the pop singer from New York and then travels to Los Vegas and dies when the hand of God blows up the nuke would make a perfect Eddie.
