naorem,
Your comment sent me over to glance at your blogs. Quite interesting. I'll have to get by regularly. The Hindu faith has long been an interest to me. My brother is much closer to it than I, having practiced a variety of it for years. I tend more toward Buddhism, which, of course, is an offshoot of Hinduism. The similarities are extensive.

shellyb,
Thanks for the comment. If you ever feel in the mood for an old film, that is a pretty good one. Dustin Hoffman was always best when he did artsy films with multiple levels of interpretation. There are still plenty of good films around, but it's hard to find the kind with the depths of meaning that I like. A good film is hard to find.

Blonda,
It was a good film. I haven't seen it for a long time, but it did have enough metaphor and symbolism to qualify as a true, quality film. There aren't too many like that, but when one sticks in your memory, it is usually well worth the effort of finding it to see again.
I'm glad to see that you agree on ''common sense.'' When I first put that into the blog we weren't quite as bombarded by politicians, but as we approach elections the truth of it really shines out.
Thanks for stopping by. I knew there was something about you that I liked.
