I miss-spell my name sometimes as well, mneme.  The thing about this post was that I didn't know where I was going either.  I let my fingers do the walking.  Thanks for tagging along.

sorry, mispelled your name
too much local colour/typing with long nails.

Whacky
That must be a bit of a pain in the butt, Whacky.  Samantha goes crazy at thunder.  She even tries to crawl under the bath.

littlemspickles

Sorry about the post, littlemspickles, but as you noticed, it was more of ramble than anything else.  I have been in a down and dejected mood for a few days and haven't felt like writing, or even being positive, for a few days.   Hopefully it will pass.

We used to have a dog like that.  Sometimes I wonder who is the master and who is the pet when it comes to dogs.  I feel the same way as you when it comes to watching ice hockey on television..  Once I drove 500 miles to see a 'real' Formula 1, and got a seat on the first corner.  It was so boring that I fell asleep and missed most of it.

My dog is scared of thunder...except now he barks back at it!

i never could understand the attraction of watching
race cars on tv....

I had to read your post again today because I wasn't sure if I missed something but as you and word.smith both commented, it was more a collection of ideas and an insight into your thinking today!

as an aside, Gypsy (one of my dogs) has taken to lying in between both of us on the bed and then tries to push one of us out by stretching her legs and pushing against us - she's like a big kid...

word.smith
Thank you word.smith.  Oddly enough this post was written in exactly that manner.  I didn't know where I was going either. And to think my posts are usually razor sharp, with no asides and get straight to the point - I don't think.

John,
Reading your posts is like taking a walk without having decided the destination and stopping at interesting places along the way before getting to somewhere unexpected, but cool.
