Very sad, indeed.
I, too, wish I could take care of all of the unwanted children and make them feel loved again.

I know it's very difficult work Justi...
I just wish our govt would intervene and stop people like this from having babies altogether. At some point in our history it will have to be done.

That's pretty sad, Babe...
I pray that those adults will get what's comin to them and that God won't be merciful. I think the babies might be better off if they returned to their Creator.

I have been following a story in the South Pacific. Twin babies were brought to a hospital brain dead and at three months had massive head injuries and one a broken thigh. The twelve adults living in their household (extended family), drunk all the time and using drugs have made a pact not to cooperate with police investigation.

I am now working with those babies after they have become women who were thrown away, kicked around, dumped and dumped on it is a real mess. But with lots of love, determination on their parts, and some direction they can improve and learn how to take care of their babies. Unfortunately many never get help, just drugs, drink and a string of men who are worse than the parents they had.

Maggie...with all the birth control available...
There's no reason for unwanted pregnancy anymore. We have a condom store on every corner in north dallas.

To all scientists...
Why can't scientists invent a medical procedure whereby embrios/fetusses/undeveloped babies can be transplanted to another body?
That way if someone don't want a baby they can go to a hospital before the child is even born and get the innocent soul transplanted to a parent that so desperately wants a child and would be more than willing to raise it in a loving home.

I agree with you Bel....at some point the govt is going to have to step in.
I know people hate to hear that....but we can't continue to allow poor, uneducated women to breed so prolificly...it causes a great strain on our society. Financially speaking, we're eventually going to run out of welfare dollars.
When these kids get into the teen years...these are the ones stealing our stuff...cars, tv's, jewelry, etc. These are the ones with the drug problems. Joining gangs and such...it's a humongous problem--

Oh God BlaondeAmb....that's just awful!
It's so discouraging to hear that. With all the birth control readily available - why on earth do women continue to let themselves get pregnant????
What's worse is there's no easy answer to this problem.

PassssH One time I found a toddler in diapers in the median
of a terriblyterribly busybusy street. I rescued her and waited forever on the street corner for her mom, dad, grampa, cousin, someone to come! You know, just come running and scoop her up and hold her and take her home! It was SO sad pash. She was extremely catatonic, and/or just in a state of extreme tiredness. When no one showed up, I called the police. They came in an instant and took over from there. You don't know how much I was tempted just to take that little girl home... Oh! I feel/think too much!

Oh, Passion, I love babies. Can I help? I'll rock them to sleep and cuddle them, but you have to find someone else for the diaper changing and disposal. lol

It's heartbreaking. When I look at Pam and how amazing she is, I think of her mother. Some people simply should not be allowed to breed.

I know it is sad, it happens over here a lot because people that are on work visa's and get pregneant can get into trouble and deported....mostly the poor working class that can't afford to go home or if they are on a 1-2 year contract end up throwing their children away as soon as they are born

A few people noted that the sign doesn't have a line through it, to signify
"don't"... which is even weirder.
btw... on a lighter note, where would you put all those babies when you have wild sex?

Yesterday I heard a piece on NPR radio about women having babies but then needing to give them up because they couldn't handle being a mom. I never had kids because I knew when I was really young that I wouldn't be able to handle having a baby around! I do like kids though- just older ones...
