I would also ask SWFTFOX's opinion, or the fairies. Enjoy

non conformist, good question!
will it happen in reverse? I hope I will be lucky enough to find out, and have grandchildren of my own to tell stories to, I did love my grandma's stories, they were wonderful. Sometimes the younger generation does not make it, and dies before its time... but that is another story.

It's a big cognitive gap between the old and young....
...and so often by the time the young person is adult enough to understand or want to question, the older person isn't there and it's too late. It has happened to me and I often wonder will it happen in reverse? I hope I am still here when my grandchildren want to ask and to understand things, who knows?

it did, thanks Troosha
if anything, writing this helped me make peace with my grandfather, he used to drive me mad with his stories, I hated them.

I had a father-in-law who was notorious for “revisiting” the war (some of the stories repeated numerous times) so I could relate to this piece.  Don’t toss it  - it came from the heart.
