Yes. But, it often seems that the hardest lessons are the most valuable.

I'm getting at some very deep things inside of me that have probably never been seriously looked at. I'm happy with my life as it is right now. My family is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Thanks for the support. I want to make a living writing. It's something that comes very easily for me. But, I also have other responsibilities that I cannot neglect.

Often I wonder, "Then why do we keep wrecking it, as if it were ours?"

Thank you. I've done very well despite my mind's constant attempts at interference.

I think we are all here to learn. Sometimes hard lessons.

Avant Gard, look at the three others God gave the two of you to
prepare for home. You have a wonderful calling. You are a wonderful writer.....plus and plus.... parent-husband... plus all those things I don't know about you that shine through in little sparks and rays as you write. You are no failure!

I can only agree with whats been said already..this isnt our home
we're just here for a season....

Your words-this is not home; that's why we're here- ouch us truthfully like

the fossils and living giants from the age of the dinosaurs and beyond--some have gone ahead to prepare a ppace for us. Shalom

with outer objectives it seems when people are not open and honest of what they are doing for, it can be sensed and that hiding creates a resistance.   thinking of certain situations

Avant-Garde, well said, this is not my home, either
The only answer is to express God's love, all external forms distract from that purpose and cloud and create pain.

An interesting post. You are very introspective....

...that can be either good or bad, but you seem to be making a good job of it.

Often it is much easier to understand others than ourselves! As for why you are here - look at the job you do. Paramedic; how many people could take that on? No wonder you are analytic. Well done.

..well done!

Avant, very well done; very moving. Just as we can see only the reflections of ourselves and can never turn our gaze directly back upon itself; thus, my Teacher says that we ourselves are but reflections of the One Reality - like so many pots of water, each reflecting the entirety of the Sun. Very nicely concluded, "This is not my home. This is why I am here." A great post!

Avant....you have a great understanding of why we are here and our lessons
to be learned! Beautifully done!
