Pat B...
...aliens? I don't even think the attackers were foreigners!
But yes, if you look at who had most to gain from those attacks, all paths lead back to Bush, the White House, and the corporate funders of the republican party, specifically Big Oil and the arms industry.
It also gave Bush a very convenient boogy-man (who may well have died of kidney failure back in 2001, by the way) who, despite Special Forces searching for him in those caves, and despite the fact he needs regular kidney dialysis, and despite the fact there's a $25 million reward on his head (which is a lot of money for anyone, and especially for the average Afghani goat-herder!) apparently remains at large.
If he's just incredibly elusive, or if he's dead, makes no difference - the War on Terror has started, and there's no end in sight. Constant state of war, constant state of fear, constant flow of big orders to the arms manufacturers, and meanwhile the oil keeps on flowing.
I'll stop now, or this will be another post!
Thanks for reading.

Well, it sounds like alien technology to me..
Maybe aliens (and not al Queda) attacked the twin towers and the Pentagon. It would be easier to accept the notion that we had no defense against what happened than to think our defense agencies knew we were in danger but failed to take action. It has always been a suspicious event to me -- a president "appointed" by the Supreme Court, a buffoon who didn't seem to know where Afghanistan lives on the world map, was affirmed at last, supported by people. If the terrorist attack had not happened, it seems unlikely he could have set up Homeland Security, taken away more of our civil rights, or have been re-elected. They say it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good....

Dylan...
...what did happen is an open question right now, Dylan.
But there are so many inconsistencies and downright impossibilities around the official story that there is a field full of rabbits away on this one.
There is a possible answer to your question. I don't want to go into it here, but check my 9/11 blog and click the link at the end. You'll need about 90 minutes to watch the video.
I need to say this, too. None of what i write here is in any way disrespectful to those who lost their lives that day. Indeed, I think we owe it to them, if not ourselves, to uncover the truth.
Thanks for the comment.

I don't know enough about the subject to comment intelligently.
But I can ask, what is the meaning of all this?
The one that particularly touched me was the item about the Pennsylvania crash because one of the victims of that crash was a long-time acquaintance of my mom. The victim's mother has said that her daughter called her from the plane. Are you suggesting it was not really her? Wouldn't her mother know?
I'd be interested to know, if the official story is untrue, what did happen?
