Wiley,
thanks, I guess we're both fighting a battle at the moment...

Nautikos
You are a real trooper. I would never be able to write such a post with both hands and you did it all hampered..... Sorry! You have the best attitude. Hey I agree nurses were so professional looking in the startched uniforms and caps telling where they went to school. Now it is Pepto Bismol pink of sickly green. Yuk! I hope you have lots to read. Mainly I hope you're out of that brace before long and your wife ties you to the garden post until you're able to behave out on the road. LOL

Nautikos, delightful post!

I'm glad you and your genes are doing so well.  Keep up the good work, and I shall hope for a speedy recovery.

Two thumbs up!!!

Definitely NOT your Mom...just the voice of a woman who has never yet known
a man, especially an active one as yourself, who wasn't terrible at being a "good" convelescant! I expect that you will be pushing the envelope any day now...if not already!

Of course I'm right!...and I'm sure you'll TRY to be "good"...but I won't be surpised if you post an entry telling us you're working on inventing an apparatus that will enable you to ride your bike even though you're in a leg cast and your thumb is all bandaged up ! LOL! Besides...I'm a typical bossy Leo so the last laugh is on me! LOL!

Nautikos, I did not expect you to have this nice long report for us today.  You surprise me.

Yes, and thank you for your thoughtfulness! I'm glad to know the surgery is
now behind you; it's time to FOLLOW your physician's ORDERS...DO what he prescribes...it will be easier if you don't fight it, and you'll heal more quickly! It is difficult being a good patient!

Now just have.....
a very speedy recovery......

blackcat,

yeah, they gave me some Demerol - that's almost 'recreational' ...

And you may be right about this 'calming' business - I for one might easily get excited over a pretty nurse in white...

wow... I hope they gave you some good pain killers! Hang in there...
Oh, and I think they wear green now because it's calming.  : )
