Very interesting, Penguinrock.   I've never read this take on it before.  Keep writing.

i love critiqu-tions (my new word, don't know what it means)
so i don't mind....oh...they're probably still like they used to.

Or better still, a good creative writing class...
If they're anything like what they used to be, they'll critique you to death, but you'll appreciate it later.  (Maybe.)

i'll try and not take too many books to parties....
i definitely hope to find a book group...though as to my skills i'm doubtful. i'm am somewhat of a social recluse when i don't know people though...so i've never really been much of a party person...maybe that'll change though.....oh...i'm sure that your case is an exception. lol :)

Oh yeah, and about the rocking college thing,
Just don't take any books to the games or parties, and find a good writer's group to stimulate your obvious knack for writing and story telling.  Remember what they all told you.  In college, everybody is better at it than somebody.  Well, except maybe in my case.  :)

hehe...now that you're grown up...you know i don't think i've seen that one
the one we watch is the George C. Scott version which i find quite accurate as well...i didn't think about it like that...i guess it does make sense that something can't be contrary to the truth...b/c then it wouldn't be the truth....well...i hope no one calls me out on that one. cross my fingers.

penguinrock,

For me, the twist is what makes the possibilities so great, and the suggestion so plausible.  I would probably modify this phrase from your current post/presentation:  The story in truth is contrary to this fact..., for the most obvious reason that the truth cannot be contrary to a fact, and stickier readers than myself might call you on that.  However, the truth may easily contradict an "assumption", "interpretation" or "suggestion".

And if you want to talk about scary versions of this, you should see the old black and white version with the English actor Alastair Sim playing Scrooge.  That's the version I best remember, and I think as most accurate to the story, at least as I recall it.  It's really dark and dismal, but has a lot of humor now that I'm grown up and can see it.  :)

really? i wasn't sure. i think the last segments are shorter.
i do agree this one paragraph is extremely long....it looks so much different on my paper...thanks for the advice...i think on my Frankenstein one...i'll try and keep the segments shorter. :)

I like your post but I think you should break this type of writing
Up into more paragraphs...it would be easier to read.

Ooooh... creepy,
Now, I remember why this story scared me as a kid.  Anyway, so how does he finally make amends?  Time travel into the past sounds logical.  I can't wait to read more.  Thanks.  :) Also, college rocks.  Congratulations.  :)
