Oh well, it's all okay. You'll find that reposts of previous blogs
happen from time to time here, as well.  Maybe you'll re-post it for the holidays.  Either that, or perhaps expound on this piece more by then.  That might be cool, too.  :)

blackpearl1...as much as i would like to extend it through the season
i think there is only about 1-2 days left in sections....:( makes me sad....but yeah...i had notority in my english class first with my macbeth essay on the word death and then this one...over the concepts of life and death....my frankenstein one was slightly different but had the same kind of odd concept....you know i'm gaining that same insight...that people don't like to think too much...sad really...though it applies to me too.

You should extend this series through the holiday season.
It's really thought-provoking, although I'm not really sure how much thinking bloggers like to actually do when reading.  I've long been accused of thinking too much, so maybe you'd not have the audience I imagine.  Anyway, looking forward to the next installment.  :)  The twists on life and death are really good.  There are so many perspectives to explore.  Thanks.  :)

BlackPearl1 it is more like the second theory
though still slightly not correct. lol.

I somewhat answer your question (not very well I agree, but i was trying to make it short and sweet) with this passage from the 3 paragraph....hope it helps your understanding.

One could question as to why Marley appears as a ghostly figure and that the others do not. Marley appears as an apparition, for Scrooge believes only Marley to be dead, not himself.

penguinrocks,
I like the theory about Marley having had his chance at changing his own ways before death and not having taken it; or are you saying that ghosts appeared to Marley early in his own death to give him the opportunity to return to the world of the living a make amends, and he botched the chance to do so?  Either way, it's intriguing.  Also, maybe I'm jumping the gun, but what about the other live people who actually saw and knew Scrooge?  His nephew, and Bob for example.

This hypothesis works. There are similar stories about souls being allowed to view the depths.
