chris, sometimes the funniest things make the most sense

shaycom, not sure how it could work, but I am sure that spending some time reading would give you some ideas....  other sites have ranked... as for the nicknames, I have already figured my way around it by clicking "recent posts" first, where nicknames are listed...

it is not really alot of money right now, but I am sure shaycom would like for it to get to that point!

Since every click counts when dividing up payments each month, a single click normally does not have much effect. Would showing the writer's nickname on the home page help resolve this problem, in that you would be less likely to click on blogs by the relevant writers?

One concern that has been expressed about a "forgiveness" button is that it would allow some to read without paying.

YOU CAN ALWAYS

flip through the magazine before purchase, and sample at least one before paying for a years subscription!

I'm with you , but sideways.

If you could return a magazine because it was boring, they'd go out of business. But if you bought a copy of "Smithsonian" and it turned out to be "Stuff" inside the cover, that's different. Gimme eight seconds...I can name THAT tune in eight seconds.

And toggle it. If it's extra good, give 'em an extra bump.
