Go to A New Church

SuccessWarrior -- actually the instructions are fine.
I don't know if anybody remembers this poster about the child's swing
-- how it was first envisioned -- and then how it was eventually totally
screwed up by all the committees and other interventions of people's
deranged thinking.
that's how i see human pronouncements of spiritual perfection (no such thing).
we really don't have to burden ourselves with the yoke of
churchianity. I don't think Jesus (Yeshua) meant to form a church
per se (his teachings fly in the face of religion), but do demonstrate
a way of living -- maybe to pass on wisdom of the ages and add a little
of his own.
the burden is that of releasing ourselves from ourselves and taking on the burden of others -- learning to relate to others.
I am seriously thinking about a church that rents low rent commercial
property that cannot be rented otherwise. no real service -- only
what the attendees want -- they sing whatever they want -- no structure
per se -- all around loosely arranged chairs and tables, with coffee
handy and whatever food would be brought -- open seven days a week --
anybody can drop in -- take up a subject -- and a main part of it would
be raising the self-esteem of those coming in and helping them to raise
the self esteem of others. people would drop donations at
the coffee maker and the food (ideal i think). drink as much
coffee as they want -- (better be a well kept restroom), eat as much
food until it's gone. then they'd have to answer to those coming
in after them and might be hungry (take it outside folks).
people would explore.

It is, Successwarrior
Here is a link to NPR where you may read more about it, and, I think, hear an interview with the author:

Amen, SuccessWarrior!
Speaking of "the rules," I am reading a fascinating book by a Theologian (PhD from Princeton Univ.) titled,
Misquoting Jesus, which talks about all the changes, additions and deletions in the Bible throughout the past 2000 or so years.

We should stop the guessing, disband all religions,
and let god start over with better instructions.
