Oh I see what you're saying Corbin...
IN real life, I don't think it works that way. When someone has a gift for "healing" it doesn't KILL them to do it....it IS very emotionally taxing though. It drains you. Plus metaphorically speaking, you DO sort of give up your life in order to pursue this "Calling."

If you completely healing someone caused you to die....could you heal them say.......90%??  And still get to live?

Corbin...do you mean heal almost everyone?
Or only partially heal someone??? You've confused me...LOL-

Could you just.......
"mostly" heal them and go on living?

Thanks for the clarification, Darrke...
How does your son like riding around all the time with you?

Darrke...I know what you're saying but
I think if you truly could heal people...you wouldn't have to worry about money. How many people are dying from some horrible incurable disease that would give you thousands of dollars just to be whole again????

oh...and only one kid...
my daughter lives with (was adopted by) my parents.  So just my son rides around in the truck with me.

Yes, but...
I'd worry about how to eat and all that.  You think people would complain and stuff about how you're a fraud if you asked to sleep on their couch and share their breakfast after you heal them?  I see the world more that way than not anymore.  It's not that I don't want to share my gifts (healing isn't one of them) but that I have to make a "living" in the meantime, and sometimes that leaves a person with little time or energy to share their God-given talents.

Hey! It's happened Homegirl!
You never know about God...besides, DarrkeThoughts takes her kids on the road with her as a long-haul truck driver.

Homegirl...he probably wouldn't ask someone who had kids
To leave them and go out on the road like that.

LOL LostinLife...that's a pretty dramatic answer!!
Hopefully you'd have enough common sense to take some time off and relax when you needed to.

Because people nowadays don't appreciate anything..
And they would never leave me be or demand me to heal them and so I would have to have myself killed to get away from them, they would probably end up killing me though for I wouldn't be able to get to everyone and then a huge dramatic battle would break out and then I would be killed in the process....

I never saw that episode...
I like to think I would... depends on the season of life, but right now I beleive God reserving my energy for my kids.

Why would you do that, LostinLIfe???
Don't see the logic there....

posted by Passionflower on August 18, 2006 at 11:29 AM | link to this | reply

absolutely, but then it would be a short life wouldn't it...
because I'd eventually have to have myself killed.
