Hello Mountain Climber how are you today?

Mountain Climber
Don't let the cheap tactics of the false (teacher) prophet whatever steal your joy. Your joy comes from God not from man. Satan works harder in the church than anywhere else. More people have had their feelings hurt in the church than anywhere. Don't let this man take away you faith. That is his purpose. Don't give him that satisfaction. It is difficult for Christians to make it today as it is with so many people defying all we believe in. God is still on the throne and is in charge. Tell him about this man. Give this man to God, let God take your revenge on him. I can assure you he can do a major job. I shall say prayers for you. I am sorry this happened.

I'm agree Mountain Climber! There is no place in the Church, or out of it
for that matter, for cheap theatrics. That would be like saying maybe we should serve liquor in church so the alchoholics would come. It's a poor excuse for catering to the weak willed.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are asking.

BrightIrish -- You wouldn't think God would be please, but...?

It's preachers who preform these outageous types of actions who discourage honorable men and woman from attending church services. I'm with you about listening to someone like him preach to me and I wouldn't think that God would be very pleased with the preachers actions or the parishioners.

Hold on fast, MountainClimber.  The way is difficult.  Its easy to go astray or to fall:

This know...in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth........ these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men,.....

But thou hast fully known [God's] doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, ....Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of,.... thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

II Tim. 3 (exerpts)

Too complicated to explain, but you really ought to get a copy of Paradise Lost!

I read it when I was a boy back in the 1930s, and altho' it was real hard going, I stuck at it, and I've read it a few times since.

I guess you could read a lot of it on the net, and surely get it from Amazon.

It's a treasure.

Remember the travails of Milton's Christian in " Paradise Lost", and don't lose heart.

Or was that Mean Streets"?
