It only took about 25 years or so,
but you finally had a dad giving you the hinky eye.

That's Ok
This way I'm still a mystery to him.

Okay, you're right
Crank calling birds are pretty scary though

This wasn't really all that scary.

I keep a running tape recorder (well, recording device) in my purse at all times, anyway, regardless of who I'm talking to. 'Cause you just never know when someone will say something stupid.

It seemed to me that, somehow, the blue jay was trying to communicate with me.
I would see him fly into the house across the way,
pick up the telephone, and dial.
My phone would ring, and it would be him,
but it was just this squawking and cheeping.
"What!? What!?" I would yell back,
but he never did speak English.

I actually was going ot invite you over the years.
He's made cracks about the kids bringing girlfriends/boyfriends...but I think he was just aggravated at them.  When I go, I find there are friends of friends of friends of the grandchildren.  The difference is I ask if they can come.

and yet your dad worries about that Mike guy...
on another note, I do think I get the better of the name mix ups. I get emails from MikeA in California's Mom, cousins and ex girlfriend. I must have beat him to the account by days. I'm hoping to be invited to the family reunion some year.
