Blanche, I'll be working in as a Nurse Practitioner in family practice,

which has been my desire all along.  It's a really nice office and only 10 minutes away (vs my previous job, which was 45 minutes away).  I'm such a home body.  It will be really, really nice getting home sooner, having my evenings available to DO STUFF, and doing the type of work I WANT to be doing.

Thanks for your good wishes!!!

Regarding the experiment with mentos and Pepsi/Coke -- did it really happen?  Was there an explosion of magnificent proportions????  (Perhaps we could pour some Mentos and coke -- with a little gunpowder -- down the throats of a few terrorists . . . . OK, not good but could not resist.)

JanesO, first off, congratuliations on the job change. If I'm not mistaken

you are more than happy to make an exit, but what a sendoff!  Tales of your miraculous powers will circulate through the halls for years, and people will wonder, "Who was Jane?"

About the Rumplemints, I am pretty sure you are right about the sugar facilitating the buzz of the liqeur and Pepsi.  My own experiments, albeit anecdotal, but repeated enough to merit a journal entry, (not in the New England Journal of Medicine, my own), have confirmed the anecdotes.

I was watching Mythbusters the other night, , Jamie and Adam decided to mix bottled Pepsi with Mentos (to see what would happen), the second greatest motivation in scientific inquiry, the first being to blow sh*t up. Anyway, apparently, the two of them have quite a kick!

Where are you off to work now?

Thanks Nautikos! I'm not Catholic, but I am a Protestant Christian,

and we believe that all Christians are saints!  (But for sure that's not to say that all Christians act like saints at all times!!!)

Trust me, I was so surprised, it could have been ME dead on her bed had I been any more shocked!

(Thanks for stopping by!)

Jane,

Jane, this has all the makings of eventual sainthood, only if you're Catholic, of course!

But in the meantime and before that happens, I do wish you the very best in your new position!

Rumored, I believe it was ME.
She was genuinely thrilled to see this (supposed) long lost family friend, while I thought seconds before that she truly had been dead.  Oy vey!

Jane's
This is priceless. The rumor will be around that you left after raising Ms. Dofunny from the dead. Now we need to talk about a baptism in the Holy Spirit complete with speaking in tongues. You may go into a different area of your general work. LOL Cute.
