you are tapping in to my deepest wells...I am stuggling with the forgiveness I must find - once and for all - if I am to stay with this man.  If I weigh up the last thirty years, the cost of keeping it together is great. Tomorrow I may regret this comment, but it's his birthday and he has kept the wine flowing; it gives me a bad time but he is less cranky, and I know better than to cross him in this sort of situation.  Am I stupid? Or am I more saintly than I would ever think? I wish I knew.

thanks taps.
I wrote that poem in a daydream without giving it much thought. I just came out, just as it is. Not great but kind of interesting.

MarieClaire, your mind is quick and clever, your poetry is lyrical. It has a very refreshing feel to it. MoonSpirit

I did this on purpose, just for fun and emphasis, not sure if it was such a
good idea. Do you have any suggestions?

This one is for all of us, too! Thanks for a really good one Marieclaire.
Loved the rhyme scheme--new for you-- and I have just one suggestion, "Check distraught distress". I don't think they go together or redundancy may be the issue here. But I have been incorrect (once, but I have never been wrong, by any solid proof). Shalom--Brava!

I particularly like the line, in an ocean of sadness.
I also like th sound of two tons of driven madness.
