Nothing like an expert on the subject, our dear Mr. Rather, R.I.

It is called "underdog status" or some such, R.I., in the p.r. business.
Israel in this case is the bully, and Hezbollah and Lebanon are playing the victim (and doing a pretty good job of it, too).  According to a bunch of pundits I've seen, Israel is getting the short end of the media stick because they keep playing into Hezbollah's hands.  It doesn't matter if they can justify their actions.  As Dan Rather said the other night, "Television journalism tells "a" story, perhaps not "the" story."

Saul, as usual, the media didnt tell us much about the Isralis who were
killed, but we sure got a earful about the other side...that will never end, either....:(

It is all rooted in hereditary religious and social enmity, centuries long.
Sad.

I'm afraid you are right, saul_relative.   There doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do about it.   It has a life of its own that has its beginnings in enmity and feeds upon chaos and seems to have no end but death.
