Well....
...whatever works for you. Guys in the beef industry definitely have it rough. I had no idea till I read that book. I don't know how they get up in the mornings.

Actually, I have not read it myself, but my friend is reading it and telling me what she learns on an a weekly basis. As a result, I have decided to keep beef out of my diet, but not for dietary reasons. I could actually care less about the dietary reasons. The last 10 years of my life aren't going to be as interesting as the first 40, so I'll voluntarily sacrifice years off the end. Rather, I'm boycotting beef because of the exploitation of the workers in the meat-processing facilities.

Yes, I have a feeling I would not need any of your special chocolate to get warm feelings from you...

That warm feeling you get after you eat chocolate chip cookies with me? It's not from the chocolate.

You've Got...
...that right. This is where the money is, the power, the lobbying groups. Sadly, most people still have an enormous amount of trust in the media, in certain types of marketing - the Meat Board, say - and in health research, when in fact they are all saying (or not saying) whatever they can get away with to maximise their own profits. Or, in the case of researchers, the profits of the companies quietly funding them.
I wonder, have you read Fast Food Nation?

Uhoh, I guess I'm going to tie young of atherosclerosis and prostate cancer.
I love meat! It tastes so good, and what's better than a tall frosty glass of milk with some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies?

What's also interesting to me is that meat and diary is like the "big business" of agriculture, with far more tv commercials encouraging people to eat beef, pork, and milk than fruits and vegetables.
