Yes, I did see that movie, and did not really care for it, but I did think Eastwood did a great job in portraying his character.

Exactly! Clint Eastwood in his younger days is precisely who came to my mind as the perfect actor to portray Roland as I was reading the series. I just hope they don't use John Goodman.

Dude I will be sorely disappointed...
if they made this into a movie. It's like the one SK book/series that hasn't been ruined. He said this is his masterpiece and I hope he doesn't sell it out. But, we all know, if it is to be done, Clint Eastwood would have been a great Roland back in the day. Now he's just too old. Did you SEE Bridges of Madison county?
