shamsuddin
We are in the process of moving, and my wife's employer has requested she come down and work. Last weekend I opted to watch the boys all weeked, as I am doing now. Dread turned to joy as I realized what a blessing and a privilege this is.

I broke my leg
six years ago and was grounded for three plus months.  During this time I learned about patience, love and freindship and being thankful.  I got time to think, sit in the sun, write and appreciate what I had.  I realised that this time had been sent to me for a purpose. It became a turning point in my life and I really appreciated it.

When I got pregnant with my son...I had lots of issues about losing custody of my daughter and the pregnancy made me face them and deal with them.  Now I've got the best little boy in the world, and he is the best part of my life.

Shamsuddin Jim,

I had an experience like that a couple of years ago.  It was winter and I was driving very slowly along a road leading into my neighborhood.  The road is black top and has no curbs and the center of the road is the high spot.  Luckily, I was only going about 25 mile per hour.  There was patchy ice on the road and I hit a spot with a tire or two and it started me spinning.  I went into the ditch very gently and, though there was minimal damage to the car, I was completely unharmed.

When they had the car up on whatever that thing is called where they can stand under the car and work on it, they found a bubble on one of the tires that couldn't be seen from any other angle.

I had just driven a 100 mile round trip the day before to pick up an issue of my publication from the printer so I could distribute it.  If that bubble had burst while I was enroute, I could have been killed.
