alt.muslim, what a messy, unkind and violent place is this old world.

And what a friendly, sharing and peaceful place is it. Each government and individual decides upon the world in which he lives.

When only governments decide, individual's pay by not voting, not marching,  not voicing their thoughts, as in America, and then the individual often feels that the government decided against his best interests.  Go silently with the flow and the flow can carry you away.

Sit at home and watch t.v. and have your in home opinions. Act outside your home to involve yourself in your community, vote and participate and the world might be closer to your individual view of how it all should be on this old planet.

It comes down to peace first, talk first, knowing and helping your neighbor directly, and not waiting until the dead bodies are piled high enough to satisfy one government and high enough to horrify another and high enough to point out, once and once and once again, that piles of bodies fix nothing, heal nothing, avenge nothing and just add to the pile.

may they not succeed
Most of the muslims living in the US do not want to cause violence. They came here for peace, prosperity, democracy and freedom which they do not always get in muslim countries. But there are radical muslims who want to see the U.S. destroyed along with all other nations who do not uphold Islam. Their method is to spread Islam by violence. I pray that they do not succeed.

Good post.
A time for reflection by all.  Elsewhere the attack on Qana pushed most else off the front pages
