oh really,
This is Earth.  Hello....hello?  Oh crap!  My cellular company dropped another call.  Or maybe they dropped me.  The last four or five bills they sent kept getting more and more red.  The real question is: who dropped whom?  They were really starting to piss me off when they sent a telephone that had cable TV and ''Wow!  We hip now!!'' advertising.  I tried some other companies, but I'm on some kind of Credit Blacklist.

and Mademoiselle,
Do you suppose that had anything to do with Bob Dylan asking about Fidel Castro and his beard?  I always thought there might be some esoteric connection with something there.

Dave,
As far as I know, everything is fine.  I'm glad you asked that, however.  I need to make an appointment for my semi-regular (I procrastinate) colonoscopy.
I'm not really quite sure whether I'm glad you asked or sad you asked.

Tanga,

Thank you.  I went to a lot of work to maintain historical accuracy, so I assume that you are one to whom that sort of thing is important.  I always admire that sort of thing.

How is the weather down there?  I suppose this is one of your cooler times of the year.  The sun has bounced off of the Tropic of Cancer and headed south.  That means as our weather improves slowly, yours should become hotter and more humid.  South of the equator, you must be entering Spring.  It must be fairly nice there now.

Mademoiselle,
Thank you for mentioning that.  I had intended to mention that particular topic here, but it was a little too lengthy to include in a single blog entry.  I may go into that on another occasion.  I need to research it some first, as my initial thought was to approach it from the commonly accepted flat perspcetive.  All things considered, I do find that perspective to fall a little flat.

The weird thing about Copernicus was that he didn't have a beard ...

Which was very uncommon in his day, considering how dangerous it was to shave.

You know the world isn't round, either ... it's actually a rhombus.

I'll turn the tables
