JanesOpinion, I guess that on August 23 we will know what exactly happened on August 22. That's the best that I can do with this information. What a world we live in!

Great post, Jane
I like the calm in your writing about this. Whatever the former mayor of Tehran has in store for us we know he doesn't control the universe.

Yeah, Blanche, it sounds like a really bad design and
horrifically really expensive. And now it's a murdering tunnel . . . .

Corbin, I love the play on words.
At the very least, I know how to spell "Abracadabra!" (I think I know how to spell it!)
But I share your concern over what may be hidden in the Bakaa valley. I think it's highly likely that, indeed, Iraq's WMD were sent to Syria before the war, which means we could see them at some point when the terrorist thugs deem appropriate to their cause.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Janes
This is all over the Blogosphere..........Abracadabra or whatever his name is........is a nut burger extraordinaire.........
While he was the mayor of Tehran, he reportedly ordered the refurbishment of a major boulevard because the Mahdi is to travel along it upon his return.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who shares Abracadabra's apocalyptic vision, said there is a "surprise" in store for Israel. This could be bluster, of which Mr. Nasrallah has plenty. But might he mean an attack with weapons of mass destruction?
There have been reports that just before the War in Iraq began in March 2003, Saddam's more advanced chemical and biological weapons were taken to Syria and to the Hezbollah stronghold in the Bekaa Valley for safekeeping. We may find out shortly whether those reports were true.
Analysts say Iran is still years away from developing its own atomic bomb. But analysts overlook the possibility that North Korea -- which is thought to have about a dozen bombs -- might sell one or two to Iran. Iran and North Korea have done business before, and there were Iranians in Pyongyang July 4 when North Korea conducted its missile tests.
But the bottom line is that we'll have to wait until August 23rd to finish this conversation..............

Blanche, of course now I bet they will be a bit cautious what with the
Boston "big dig" debacle, eh? Isn't that at least partially underground/under water?

It's been a sore subject locally since then, and many tax hikes later, it
they are still in the planning stages of an underground tunnel. It's frustrating, the whole public transit system here. It's like why is nothing ever simple?

Janes, you might laugh, but that bridge is the same design as the Oakland
bridge that collapsed in 89, and the state still cannot get it together to rebuiid it, yet. So, I say a prayer, but knowng I am safe in his hands is an immeasurable comfort. Death is the one sure thing in life.

Believing in Christ, well, what more could you want! "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!" (Somewhere in the NT -- I think Hebrews, to be exact)

JanesOpinion, I remind myself of that very thing every time I ride in an
accordion bus over the notoriously seismically unsafe West Seattle bridge. A lot of things are out of our hands. I am not sure what to believe. I don't necessarily take every word of the Bible literally, but I do believe in Christ.

Blanche, I do believe in end times; however, that said,
it is reassuring to me to accept that God is in control. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of all things. Although there are times I become a little anxious, I remind myself that ultimately God is in control, and my life is in His hands!

I don't think your ideas will gain much support. The world seems comprised of 85% appeasers (at all costs while the ship is sinking beneath their clueless feet).

There are so many turns all of this could take in the Middle East.
I am for wiping out Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and anyone else who jumps on the bandwagon to cause trouble. I know those are strong words, but I feel we should take the fight to the Arabs instead of sitting back and waiting for them to do more damage to peace loving peoples.

Not many people know that the guy's name is really Inejad, but after he got into politics ( cos his ole Daddy was an imama, see? ) an' he got as mad a coot, like all the other politicos in the world people got the know who he was.
They started sayin' " Ah! Mad Inejad!"
