on second thought/read, this is a pretty rough piece (mine)
I wrote it in my own personal style which may not suit you, and it is full of mistakes and repetitions, my apologies, it is embarrassing and infuriating at the same time.
Sift through my rambling, see if there is anything of use to you here. For me it is a good excuse to have a go at writing. Don't take my comments to personally, we all like positive feedback, your article was fine, well constructed, correct grammar and all, good clarity, nothing wrong with it really except... it needed a bit of zing to it. I have plenty of zing to offer in my writing, but my grammar, clarity and logic leave a bit to be desired sometimes. Each writer has strength and weaknesses, and you probably find that with your students. I teach French in Secondary Schools and they butcher my language (French) all the time. I find that no two students are alike in their ability to write process information etc. This is the beauty and the challenge, catering to individual needs. I like to spend one on one time with my students and take the trouble to explain where they are going wrong but it is not always possible. I find that some writers have style, others don't, it is a kind of gift I think, but everybody can write something. If the writer does not have style, there is not a lot you can do about it, other than improve the raw material a bit. I need to address weaknesses in my writing, perhaps you have already spotted them, apart from obvious typo mistakes. Blablabla

I hope you won't be offended, I included my own version here. I had so much
fun wrting it, I just could not resist. Do what you like with it, it is not perfect by any means. I was too lazy to proofread so enjoy picking out the mistakes.

Memoir Writing is a wonderful way to preserve your life story and memories of precious times. It is accessible to all for we all have a story to tell.  Would not it be wonderful to be able to pass on those memories to your children, grand children and great grandchildren and the generations to come? Yes it is possible. You can do it, I can do it.

If you can hold paper and pen and can write intelligibly, you qualify as a writer!

Have you ever thought of putting your ideas on paper? Yes! Wonderful, I am here to help you. Memorable experiences will just pour out of you, in an endless flow of ink. Once you open the floodgates of your mind, you won’t be able to stop. Memories have a way of being triggered and once you start drawing on that well of recollections you will not be able to stop. Memories are like that, they cry out to be heard, unless you suffer from Alzheimer, there is absolutely no excuse for you not to remember! So since there is no time like the present to delve into your past, start writing NOW!

Your memories are a beautiful gift to your loves ones and futures generations. Think about that and you might even get published…

My course will enable you to write freely about  the memories which were once securely locked up in a dusty corner of your brain.

I will provide all the necessary guidance and technical help to enable to make the best of your ideas and recollections.

Looking forward to hearing from you and the beautiful stories you are about to share.

Marie Claire had a lot of good suggestions which I already made
It was too negative, too blah................but thanks for commenting......I really need it to be more than "okay" and I think now it is....hopefully

Sounds OK. I did a real life class like this once. I went to it for the
creative use of memory, but some went for therapeutic reasons. You perhaps should perhaps be wary of these different reasons when the class gets going.
