I rode rice burners for about 23 years and then got a chance to get a
Harley Sportster at a good price. It had been lowered and modified and looked like a little FatBoy. I bought it on January 1st and it was so cold I got a migraine riding it home. By March 31, I had 12,000 miles on it! Sweeeet. but divorce has a way of costing a man everything! Oh well, at least I had the experience and when God is gracious and gives me back the success I am missing in mylife, I'll have another!

Great. Loved the poem and the pics.
They're only hairdryers, but I have been to the International Scooter Rally on the Isle of Wight in Ryde, UK, for the last 3 years. It's a real spectacle. Harleys turn up there too. I've never ridden one, but I just love to watch and photograph the bikers. I have some photos in my blog somewhere.
Good stuff. I've heard of Sturgis before. It'd be great to go there.

NZ is full of bikies, Hell's angels, the Mongrel Mob, etc...My daughter races her car at the drags, well she goes to watch usually. Looks like fun, at least in summer.

I really enjoyed this. Yeah we are all freaks of one kind or another. Last fall I bought a new 06 Custom Sportster. Took my lessons and rode a couple of times( dammed near killed myself) then gave it to my son!! Yeah those Harley's are really special!!

Glad of it! We're all freaks of one kind or another. Wish I could say one
of those bikes was mine, but NOT! I have a Russian family instead. They cost about the same but the bike would have been paid off by now! Plus you can put a bike in the shop and get it FIXED! But you can enjoy her artwork on several of my posts!
