Good point, Mademoiselle. I started to throw in a line about Bonds and
the baseball steroid scandal, but I refrained. Still, Armstrong was cleared of charges leveled against him. Let's hope Landis will be also. As they say, "Expect the worst; hope for the best."

Meanwhile, Skip Bayless (from "Cold Pizza") had a good point, both regarding cycling in general, and Lance Armstrong in specific.
Bayless noted that, in this steroid era, if a baseball player were to have lead the majors in homers seven years in a row, there is no way anyone would believe he had done so legitimately (i.e. without the help of performance enhancers).
So why should we believe Armstrong, who competed in, arguably, an even dirtier sport?
