Well...
...Mr Dallas, America's resources are but a piss in the ocean compared to those beneath the Middle East, and the amount of environmental destruction required to extract them simply would not be worth it.
Try to see, Corbin - this is not as simplistic as you make out. You're world map of left v. right, Muslim v. Christian, Good v. Evil, is at odds with a reality way more complex and fluid now.
