I live in St. Louis
Rams need a little reality check if they are to do well right now.
came through all right winnning superbowl
my problem is st. louis' history w/ football teams
Bidwell's Cardinals generally wre lousy -- seems Bidwell wanted it that way -- when they had a winning team he scrapped them in favor of a losing team.
had attendance between 15 and 20 k most of the time -- wanted a 70k seat stadium
moved Cardinals to AZ where he finally got one -- has a losing team -- should have attendance between 1`5 - 20 k -- but that's all right since it doesn't matter because no matter how lousy a team is and how little $$ they make and add to the NFL's coffers, all teams receive equal payment from the NFL -- Bidwell is living high off the hog probably, not shelling out much but still getting paid big $$$ for having a losing team
but that's by the boards
then St. Louis, with no team at all, builds a 70 k stadium, with MO taxpayers and St. Louis and St. Louis Co taxpayers footing the bill
they try to get a team, calling them the Purple Stallions (lol) but NFL doesn't award them a franchise
then Georgia Frontiere moves the Rams to St. Louis in opposition to the NFL and particularly (no surpsie) Bill Bidwill.
Rams are a miserably losing team.
until . . . and then the rest is history.
