No
He was just being nosey. Jerk I could charge him he has no right to enter our place he has to give 48 hours notice before he sets foot in the door. He told me he had to show the place to some renters and said he tried to get a hold of me but no answer and just assumed it would be alright. Gosh what if I was home and walking around naked or something. Yeah right but still the point is privacy is privacy. Stay the hell out.

That would freak me out, too.
I'd ask the landlord to be sure it was he.  Someone might have got hold of his keys. If he has the right to check your place from time to time, check the lease - it may state that he has to notify you first. In that case, if he came in without getting your okay, you may have a legal angle to break the lease without penalty.  In any case, he should have left a note or a voicemail to let you know, and not just footprints on your bedroom rug. Ewww!

Actually, the landlord can come in anytime they want, but better ones

will give you a heads-up first. What a creep! I've had some pretty bad ones myself, so I know how that can be. Please change your locks and train your puppy to attack unwanted visitors! Is he going to be a big dog? If he is that would be a pretty good detterent!

I'm glad you and your babies are okay! What a scary thing to have to deal with! I hate being alone here at night with the kids, but the dogs give me peace of mind. I don't think anyone would be willing to mess with them and even if someone made it in I'd have plenty of warning with the dogs barking.

I suggest keeping the phone right next to your bed if you can. It's what I do so I can lock my door and call the police if someone breaks in at night! Oh, and Wal-Mart has some door and window alarms that just stick on the frame and then if someone opens it the alarm shreiks. They're not very expensive and they're extremely easy to put on. If someone were to try to get in it might scare them away or at least warn you of their presence.

Stay safe!

8-Ball
That would freak you out! I agree you should put in a new lock. It might not have been the landlord, but either way you will be safer. Besides a landlord is not supposed to come in your home while your not there...Good luck~

Thanks Passion
I was terrified, than worried all night, than shocked and now pissed off. I should have kept the poop for evidence and called the cops but I didn't want to leave it on the floor any longer. YUCK.
