Go to A PACIFIST LOOKS AT FACTS ABOUT THE MIDDLE EAST
- Add a comment
- Go to TO MANY CHRISTIANS DON'T KNOW BEANS ABOUT MOSLEMS
We seem to have a common theme today
I do consider myself a Christian but I was also taught to believe BY the Christian faith to "Love Thy Neighbor". The true basis of Christianity does not teach racism or hate and it seems to be heavily confused by a select few who call themselves Christians.
Xeno, I do understand your frustration but I do hope that you will not do like the extremist and also put all Christians in the same catagory.

BlondeAmbition007, you are correct
my point, of course, is that, as you can read right here on blogit, in the blogs of what I term "pseudo-Christians", Muslims are stereotyped and typified as violent and biased and intolerant and engaged in worldwide Jihad against all Christians and the rest of the world, for that matter, which is totally wrong and malinformed.
They make it seem that Christianity is and has been totally innocent of the shedding of innocent blood -- and totally tolerant, when it has not been. They, themselves reek of malinformation and gross intolerance.
The world cannot find peace as long as such attitudes persist.

I think it is dangerous to sterotype Christians and Muslims as being one way or the other. I am a Christian and have lived in a Muslim societey for close to 3 years now. I have met and worked around Muslims and they are some of the nicest and tolerant people that I have ever met.
It is when one is a total extremist and filled with pure hate for another human being because of their religious beliefs or background when things get really ugly and sad.
There is good and bad in anyone and any religion.
Because I'm a Christian, I don't believe that I should be sterotyped or expected to hate another human being or religion.
