Been listening to an audiobook on economics...
and they keep bringing out examples of when government (Russian, Indian, Chinese, US, etc) have interfered with free markets and the disaserous consequences that follow all the medling.  The guy comes across as being very non-biased, and also makes a point that economics happens with systems that don't involve money...as long as there is scarcity of something.  Very interesting reading/listening and makes me think more about decisions that the government makes to try to control things.  This one is just going to take away one potential edge in technology...some other country will do the work and then the FDA can prevent them from selling whatever they come up with in America.
