I don't know "heavy"
when I was in the elementary grades we were told to make a still life water color painting of a bunch of flowers. I did mine in a way that my teacher didn't like: I put faces on the flowers. That is how I started with cartoons. To this day, I can't draw anything "life-like." Is it just my personality? Perhaps. I like it.

padre, I read your July 13th entry and then this post and then looked
at your graphics and your drawings always seem so very much more light hearted than the text.
Is that just your personality shining through, your outlook on life in general or, your inablility to draw 'heavy' things??
Just teasing you. I like the drawing and think that it helps to explain, your interpretation of the reading.
It reminds me of a clay figurine that I made of Mary teaching a naked baby Jesus to walk after his bath....
There were long discussions with my critics about his nudity and even more about his having to be taught Anything.
