fourcats,
You are so kind.  Thank you.

The problem is that we have so many old cats.  We have 5 16 year olds now.  Cats in their teens, even if they have no crisis health issues, take so much extra care.  Uno MUST have bran in his food or he gets constipated and sick, even vomits while trying to get stools out if he doesn't have added bran.  Junior is frail and has dental problems--despite having a dental done--and has mouth pain yet.  I don't dare have another dental done because it took him 2 days to recover from the anesthesia the first time.  Marie can't chew dry food now.  Bear can't either, and must have Pacific Yew to control a respiratory problem.  Janie likely can't eat the dry.  We're watching her.

It's a labor of love, and worth it all.

God bless, fourcats, and I'm sorry about your 16 year olds.

this is a very personal post. i thought i had it rough when my three girls
- all 16- died within a year but you've been hammered.  i love your recognition of the strength that comes from death and how we can use it to do better and do more.  again, your kitties are lucky to have you.
