So true TAPS and Bel yes, he does see that. He has played with some of
the kids and given them little gifts. Just hope he picks the right ones. Thank you both!

I pray he will be able to see the other side as well
There are those that LOVE those troops.  I have talked to many soldiers that dealt with some of locals and they were so grateful.  But as my husband said.  The enenmy doesn't wear a uniform over there so you never know who is friend or foe.

Swftfox, This poem--so well done--sure tears at the heart.   As the grandmother of seven grandsons, all teens, it makes me want to hang on to them and yell, "No.  No.  You can't go!"   And yet, I know that they have to make their own decisions or their life won't be worth living anyway.

Dave, the president ought ot be so grateful to you, patriot sons, mothers,
and never put "our boys" into a guerilla war of this kind again. Sometimes, I wish we were fighting lions or the wild cratures there. The fact they are human and we can't make them do EXACTLY what the government wants, puts the stress on the soldiers. They ought ot have kept GENEVA intact from day one. But, we know their heroism, amid fear and hate and confusing democratic signals. God Bless AMERICA, God bless the soldiers and the civilians. I pray for your boy's safety; and all the health they need, body and soul. SHALOM
