Thanks Mark! Ypunday seems to like it to, he keeps returning to that
aphrodisiac thing. Worrysome a little! hahaha just kidding. Anyway, when I went to Ukraine to visit my wife for the first time, for two weeks we sat up and talked in the tiny kitchen of my apartment, candlelight because the electricity all over town was off and drank coffee and I introduced her to bananas with whipped cream and Hershey's chocolate syrup, which we had every single night. I miss those late nights so much.

I keep returning to these, and each time, more of an aphrodisiac

All of these not only ring true, they combine words so beautifully, just like your wife combines colors: eg.

A cold winter night
Is no match for a hot cup
of steaming coffee

I love the middle line, Dave. Bravo. YPUN DEO

Dave, I swaer I read these but forgot to comment
Loved them, of course, my friend. reminds me I ought to see your wife's art before I go to bed--for relaxation, meditation and inspirations. They are a wonder to behold. These coffee haiku "do waken the toingue" and I would vouchsafe, the lung (or both). The aphrodisiac part...no comment. Seems to be working for you!
